DMR targeting of transposons and stress genes

DMRs after gamma radiation are frequently hypermethylated in transposable elements and also found in gene body and promoter methylation, especially in genes related to DNA repair, RNA splicing, and stress responses. This localization suggests regulation of genomic stability and adaptation.
