How can structure-based maps aid comparative protein analysis?
This work seeks to determine whether interactive, structure-based maps generated by the ProteinCartography pipeline can effectively identify relationships, functional differences, and outlier proteins within and across protein families, thereby facilitating hypothesis generation and exploration in comparative protein biology. The question centers on leveraging protein structural similarity, rather than only sequence information, to reveal biological insights.
